Since we discovered Piha, we’ve been visiting other beaches at the west side of Auckland. T would usually cycle there during weekdays when all his work is done and then bring me to the same spots in the weekend.
Every beach still gives us that big awe… we are constantly amazed by the beauty of our new backyard. I guess we subconsciously decided that we’re gonna explore middle earth one beach at a time.
Here are some of the areas we visited so far:
Cornwallis Old Wharf. There were a lot of people fishing that day when we stopped by the area on the way to Whatipu.
Huia Point. This is a good spot to stop by for a nice overview of the Auckland region.
Whatipu Beach. I’ll let the photos speak for itself. 🙂
Anawhata Beach. Although it was quite a hike to get there… I’d say it was worth it.
Bethells Beach. T went in the water (and lasted about 10 minutes. lol) It was cold he said.
